About Jayda:

I come from a small country town about 30km North of Mannum, where I spent the last 14 years of my life before moving to Murray Bridge by myself. Living rurally doesn’t give you many opportunities for work, so I worked in the Barossa Valley in a customer service role for just shy of 2 years before coming over to Alchemy. So, while I do not have extensive experience in the NDIS space, I do know that a bright smile and a bubbly personality can really make someone’s day. My main passion is music, I played a wide variety of instruments in high school, but I’m also passionate about making a difference in the lives of those most vulnerable.

Qualifications:

Nothing fancy schmancy over here other than a Certificate 3 in Business, however I would like to obtain a Certificate 4 in Accounting & Bookkeeping and a Certificate 3 in Individual Supports

What does Alchemy mean to Jayda?

My favourite quote right now is “be the change you want to see in the world”; Alchemy’s motto is “be the change”. To me, Alchemy means changing the world for those living with a disability, so that they can live their life the way they want to, while also living as autonomously as possible. On another level, I believe humanity has the ability to learn to trust and be trusted; our clients trust their mentors everyday to assist them with the skills needed to live their lives to the fullest, and I think that is the purest form of trust there is; putting your life (essentially) in someone else’s hands
